So you’ve decided on the type of web site that you want, now what’s next?

Building the site really enables you to think about how you want to present your company. Using existing marketing material or is it time to rewrite the company literature?  Remember  that your customer wants to know what  you can do for them, solve their problems with your  product  or services.

So the words are extremely important and need to focus on the customer rather than  the usual “we are and we do” type  of statements.

Pictures and graphics will always help sell your services as well.

If you are contemplating an Internet shop then remember that each product will require a full description and a photo (or two). All photo’s should if possible have a common background for uniformity, however this does take time and patience and to get a  really professional finish you may consider a qualified photographer to take these, however this will increase your costs , so consider carefully!

Again if you are going to sell your products on the Internet - you will need to consider postage costs, do you want to do International sales or just UK, will there be a discount structure etc?

You’ll also need a way to accept payments on the Internet - this can be via a service such as PayPal - or a full merchant account.

Once you have some of this information clear in your mind then it’s time to start trying to lay it out as a real web site.

Of course this is only touching the surface but as the information starts to build then the site will begin to take shape as well.

What will a site cost me?

Pricing is very dependant on the type of site that you require and also the size of the site in terms of products in a shop or simply the number of pages involved.

So far the sites that we have built range from just £50 to £250, which we believe represents extremely good value for money.
